DICTATORS
We have no one to blame for the state of our democracy but ourselves.
SEND NOODS
During the pandemic, people were lonely and in need of comfort. Which is why it was so important to send a loved one noods (not nudes).
CLOSE TO HOME
Close to Home tells the story of six characters going about a perfectly average day, until a fleeting glance at a phone changes all of their lives forever.
THE HYPOCRISY
Roc Nation asked us to create a campaign to highlight the absurdly outdated and hypocritical U.S. marijuana laws for Jay Z’s new cannabis brand, Monogram. Each of the executions featured real people who have been incarcerated for non-violent marijuana offenses.
FROM THIS TO THAT
This idea sprung out of a simple thought: what if the end of a Rom Com was the beginning of a horror movie? The campaign ran in movie theaters, to show the massive breadth of AT&T’s newly-acquired entertainment options.
SELTZER LAUNCH
Every beer brand is launching a seltzer, so MGD did too. Into oblivion, where it belongs.
COOCH BLESSINGS
TikToker Carly Joy posted a very NSFW video teaching her followers how to shave their lady parts with eos shaving cream and it went viral. Her instructions were so good that we put them on the bottle, sent them to her, and sold them online.
PUBES FOR THE PLANET
If you’ve ever asked yourself, what should I do with all these pubes I just shaved, followed by, how can I help save the planet…you’re in luck.
IF A PLANT CAN BE MEAT, YOU CAN DO ANYTHING
Few things are more inspirational than plants that taste like meat.
GROW YOUR OWN MEAT
Did you know that you can grow plant-based burritos and chik'n nuggets in your very own garden? You probably shouldn’t. But you can! But that would be dumb. But it’s possible! But why? Why not! Or you could just buy them pre-made at Alpha Foods.
CLASS ACTION
Some anonymous meat-based personalities feel threatened by how good Alpha foods taste. This guy thinks they’ve got a case.
CHICKENFLATION
In 2021, chicken wing prices surged from an average of $1.50 per pound to nearly $4.00, all because a group of “underperforming” male roosters weren’t doing their one job. To combat this chickenflation, Alpha Foods offered a price drop in their plant-based chicken, for every price hike of chicken-based chicken.
MAKE IT A THING
Make it a thing on Shutterfly, and sip from the cup of the dumbest thing you ever said in a meeting.
GERRY’S PARTISAN PIZZA
Maybe if Americans were denied free pizza the way they’re denied free elections, they’d be angrier about gerrymandering, a form of legal fraud to rig elections. So we put that idea to the test by opening a pizza shop in Austin that only catered to those who live in Texas’ ridiculously gerrymandered 37th voting district.
SOME PEOPLE
The only people who still like cable are people who love pain.
THE FACE OF DISTRACTED DRIVING
Forrest and Caleb were two teenagers who were killed in distracted driving accidents nearly a decade ago. We worked closely with their families, forensic artists, and CG artists to recreate what they'd look like today, so they could explain, in their own words, everything that was lost from a single glance at a phone.
COCKBLOCKERS
Nothing is more unattractive than not voting. Just ask the professionals.
HAPPY HOURGLASS
People don’t work on a universal schedule anymore, and nobody has time for a designated happy hour. So Blue Moon’s happy hourglass gives it to you on your time. Order a pint, flip the glass, and your Blue moon is half price for exactly one hour.
VAX CARDIGAN
One part holiday sweater, one part vax card holder, it’s everything we never knew we’d need in 2021.
ALMIGHTY LIGHT
The Foo Fighters were promoting their new horror movie ‘Studio 666,’ where Dave Grohl becomes possessed by a demon while recording their latest album. So we created Coors Almighty Light, a beer made with real holy water so people could avoid Dave’s fate while viewing the film.
CHILLOLLIPOP
According to a psychological phenomenon called “mood-congruent memory,” licking a lollipop helps regulate mood and reduce aggression by shifting focus from present stress to happy memories. So we created beer-flavored lollipops and staged a social experiment, giving them out in bars around New York City during the peak of NCAA March Madness tournament, and measuring the difference between how rowdy the crowd got. We also sold six-packs of the Chillollipop online to help fans watching at home chill out, selling out of 5,000 units in just one day, then restocking (and re-selling out).
WHICH NUMBER IS SMALLER
Bud Light, Miller’s competitor, was launching a zero carb beer during the 2022 Super Bowl. To let the air out of their launch, we created a campaign focusing on calories, not carbs. And to determine which beer had less calories, we hired one of the most brilliant mathematicians on the planet, Ken Ono.
UNBELIEVABLE STORIES
If a life-threatening situation can only be solved with gift cards, it’s a scam.
A LITTLE OUTDOORSY
We don’t always use the outdoors to the full potential. But think about it. There’s bad weather, bugs, dirt, a giant star in the sky that wants to burn us. The good news is you don’t have to be super outdoorsy to be a little outdoorsy.
YOU’RE NOT FOR EVERYONE
You’re not for everyone. Nor should you be. That would make you a very boring person. But you are for someone, and you can find that someone on Tinder.
CASH IN ON SIN
For the last season of Netflix's show Lucifer, we created a Sin Rewards Card that rewarded fans for buying sinfully.
NURSES WEAK
Nurse's Week is the time of year when employers show their appreciation for these incredibly selfless, hard-working, deeply empathetic humans who guide us through hardship and trauma with...lollipops and coloring books. So gave them a way to trade in their weak-ass gifts for proper Nurse’s Week gifts on NursesWeakGifts.com
IF YOU’RE READY AND YOU KNOW IT
Know why you feel how you feel.
TICKET TWOSDAYS
Bring a friend to the movies for free. Any friend.
GENERAL HOWE’S DOG
For Pedigree's Feed the Good campaign, we discovered and re-told a true Revolutionary War story that shows how it sometimes takes a dog to make people act more human. This spot ran as the full two minute piece during the Macy's July 4th fireworks broadcast.
#VILF
According to OkCupid’s user data, registered voters are 85% more likely to get a message, and 63% more likely to get a match. Which makes voters pretty f’able.
ALL NOT SOME
Charlie Day wants all the football games, wherever, whenever.
GODDESSES OF ASBESTOS REMOVAL
Every year, Snickers buys the inside and outside of the back cover of Sports Illustrated's iconic swimsuit issue. This year, we showed the dangers of brainstorming swimsuit issue ideas on an empty stomach. We then produced the worst idea on the outside back cover, earning us a few angry emails from anti-asbestos groups.
STRONGEST OF THE STRONG
AT&T and college football and famous sports guys.
NOLAF
On TV, Tostitos' tagline was “Free the Fun.”
Online, we created NOLAF.ORG, a fictional organization dedicated to killing all forms of fun, including Tostitos.
The site consisted of over 42 minutes of original content, including 30 syndicated videos. And that's just what made the cuts. I'd encourage you to check out the site, since it's an immersive, interactive experience that can't be captured in a few videos.
You can check it out here: NOLAF.ORG.
Or if you just feel like watching a few videos, here are some of my favorites.
JEAN DIAPERS
The coolest you'll look pooping your pants.
YOU’RE MORE POWERFUL
This work helped win the $3 billion AT&T/DIRECTV pitch for BBDO NY, and was the first campaign out the door.
